TV Autism Benefit Gets Emmy Nod
A star-packed television benefit that raised money for education programs for children and adults with autism is up for an Emmy Award.
The “Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Concert for Autism Education” aired last October on Comedy Central. This week it was nominated for an award in the “Outstanding Writing For A Variety, Music Or Comedy Special” category.
Hosted by Jon Stewart, the show featured performances from Lewis Black, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Ricky Gervais and Sarah Silverman, among others.

A slew of other celebrities including Sofia Vergara, Rainn Wilson and Larry David were on hand to answer calls from viewers who donated money.
The biennial benefit began in 2005.
