Down Syndrome Reality Show Takes Home Emmys
A documentary series chronicling the lives of seven young adults with Down syndrome is the winner of multiple Emmy Awards.
A&E’s “Born This Way” received top honors for outstanding casting for a reality program and outstanding cinematography for a reality program.
The awards were presented over the weekend at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which are handed out ahead of the main Emmy Awards this Sunday.

“Born This Way” follows the experiences of several young adults with Down syndrome and their families as they navigate relationships, seek employment and strive for independence.
Last year, the show won an Emmy for outstanding unstructured reality program. It was nominated for six awards this year.
A&E recently renewed “Born This Way” for a fourth season.
Highlights from the Creative Arts Emmy Awards will air Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on FXX.
